Last month [January], I was blessed to be able to attend the His Way at Work Coach Workshop led by Kelly Slate. The training was a fantastic immersion into the His Way at Work methodology covering every aspect from assessments to implementation. It is amazing to understand how this has grown from an organic apostolate into a highly effective and organized mission. His Way at Work is a practical way that business leaders can live their faith at work by caring for the needs of their employees, their families, and the community. It is where the heart meets the head and faith gets put into action.
More than just training, it was an opportunity to forge new friendships with Doug Hunter, Sheila Burroughs and Alan Weisenberger who attended the sessions with me. We were able to share our experiences and most importantly, our faith. During our time, we also got to meet and be inspired by Peter Freissle, Scott Gajewsky, and William Renfrow as they shared their stories of implementing His Way at Work and the blessing that have been received. What struck me most about this training is how passionate everyone is about this mission. It is a labor of love and a work of faith. I came home with a renewed vigor and the belief that a Christian workplace has the ability to rekindle faith our society.
